Piano Lessons – 1-2-1 with Phil in London, via Skype or using online video tutorials

Piano lessons in Fulham, Hammersmith, SW6 West London or online

I offer piano lessons in person, at my small, well-equipped studio in West London. You will find me in Fulham SW6 at the Hammersmith end W6. This is within easy reach of central London. I also give online piano lessons, either 1-2-1 via Skype, or using YouTube video tutorials.

There’s an eBook, which is available for free if you can pass a short quiz. It explains the PlayPianoFluently model comprehensively but concisely. You can also buy and download practice materials. All the materials are in PDF format and contain clear explanations and diagrams. The eBook also contains a scheme of work. This means you can do your piano practice following a clearly structured course.

A piano teacher should challenge, guide and support your learning.

So I provide clear instruction and a large “toy box” of learning materials. Then you can learn at your own pace and remain curious and playful.

Expert piano tuition, either 1-2-1 or online, from a highly experienced piano teacher

I’m an award-winning, professional classical and jazz pianist with 3 decades of teaching experience. So you are in expert hands, whatever style of music you’d like to learn to play.

I have a state-of-the-art digital piano setup in my studio, with 2 excellent Roland pianos. Pianoteq Studio is also connected with its suite of beautiful physically modelled pianos. I have extensive experience playing acoustic and digital instruments. Therefore, I can offer expert advice on your own piano setup.

When teaching piano, I always focus on the student’s own learning needs. So I will encourage you to find your unique musical voice as you develop practical musicianship on the piano.

After completing the foundation course, you can study any style of music you like. You can learn piano for fun or you could go on to prepare for ABRSM piano examinations in classical or jazz piano and theory. This is because the piano skills you will acquire can transfer easily to any musical discipline.
